An "entrepreneurd" who would rather spend 20 years learning about psychology and building a flourishing business than stay in the ordinary organizational structure
What have I learned and practiced that you can apply to you and your team?
I haven’t just studied entrepreneurship in theory — I’ve lived it.
For nearly 10 years, as a business owner, a specialist in human factors, and a driver of change, I’ve seen what truly helps people grow:
Taking ownership, daring to choose — and acting on it.
I have:
-
Run my own businesses, where every decision mattered.
-
Worked in teams where we built the department from the ground up with creativity and strategy.
-
Trained people in how to take ownership, tap into their strengths, and find genuine motivation.
-
Failed, tried again, discovered new paths — and kept moving forward.
And every time, I’ve seen the same thing:
It’s not about the resources. It’s about the mindset.
That’s what I help others train today.
Not with empty words — but with real tools, practical exercises, and reflection that sticks.

"Johanna is an amazing coach whom I’ve had the privilege to work with. Her method includes various exercises, as well as guidance through them and plenty of conversations. What was especially valuable for me was analyzing and exploring different scenarios and emotions from multiple perspectives. Johanna is incredible at picking up on details, connecting them back to earlier thoughts and challenges, and maintaining a clear thread throughout all the coaching sessions. It’s been an interesting journey, and I noticed significant personal growth after our collaboration."

“Johanna is an amazing coach with the ability to truly open up your inner self and strengthen you from the inside out. I highly recommend Johanna as a compassionate and intuitive coach.”

My greatest passion is helping businesses and people thrive. I've always been nerdily interested in personal development, entrepreneurship, motivation, engagement, communication, leadership, and organization, reading book after book on these topics.
Something with today's organizational structure really bothers me - people can not possibly reach their potential with structures not made for humans and no knowledge about what gets people to actually find their inner motivation.
I built an event company from scratch, where I created an entire community with a youth center, animals, events, and multiple collaborations. I engaged children, teenagers, and adults who helped drive the animal care and the company forward with great results.
I’ve also worked as a Human Factors Specialist in the maritime industry, where human performance can be the deciding factor in preventing incidents with fatal outcomes.
I’ve always been a seeker of knowledge, and my education reflects that:
-
I hold three academic degrees: a B.A. in Behavioral Science, a B.A. in Business Administration, and an M.A. in Psychology.
-
I am a certified ICC Coach, ICC Life Coach, Diploma in NLP negotiation techniques, and Certification in psychological safety and behavior design.
-
I have also taken countless courses in leadership, communication, and related fields.
In 2023, I founded The Island Coach to pursue my passion—coaching other to find their joy in both life and work.
